The first week of school 

Get ready for games and activities that connect us to each other and to our new environment.

Our goals are:

​

1.  Get to know each other through games and stories.  Project based learning stresses communication and collaboration.  We must develop trust and friendship before we can begin our first project. 

​

2. Practice essential procedures and develop classroom expectations.   You are given a great deal of freedom in our classroom.  Before we begin our work, we should all understand the common expectations.

​

3.  Collect evidence of our starting skill levels.  In order to know how far you have come, we need to know where you are starting from.    Thoughout the year we will check in on your progress.  At the end of the year we will celbrate how far you have come!

​

4.  Learn to navigate your new school.  Where do you buy lunch?  What if you need a bandaid?  How do you choose an elective?  Is that shirt in dress code?  When can you use the computers? We've got you covered.
