I am incredibly happy to share this year with you!  This is my 16th year teaching and my 10th year with the High Tech High organization.  I have had the pleasure of working at three of our schools, High Tech High International, High Tech Middle Media Arts, and High Tech Middle North County.   As a founding member of our school, I am an immensely proud of the environment we have built, and I am ready for the best year to date!  

     I recieved my degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Visual and Performing Arts from Cal State San Marcos in 2001.  I continued on at CSUSM to recieve my teaching credential  in 2002 with a focus on middle school students.  I have had the opportunity to work with kids at every level 6-12 in Pasadena, Chicago, and San Diego, but 6th graders are by far my favorite people.  I love their enthusiasm and energy.  They will do anything to make the world a more just and beautiful place.  

     Over the years I've worn many hats.  I've been a Humanities teacher, a Drama, teacher, and Art Teacher, and even Dean of Students.  I work to incorperate my love of the arts and storytelling into everything that we do.  I  stress the importance of relationships in the classroom and encourage kids to work through conflict respectfully.

     Outside of school I can be found at a concert or play, creating art, nerding out about a game or book, or spending time with my husband and daughter.
