Project Overview

Sixth grade is quickly coming to an end!  Do you have the project management skills you will need to be a successful seventh grade student?  .

What will we Learn?

  • Keep track of multistep assignments?

  • Turn work in complete and on time?

  • Follow a project calendar?

  • Tailor your work to meet project guidelines?

  • Accept critique and create updated drafts?

  • Track assignments and make adjustments to raise scores?

  • Look for people and resources to support your success?

What will we create?

This is your chance to prove you have what it takes!  We will have two long-term assignments to track and complete to the best of your ability.  

  • A persuasive letter on any topic you choose

  • An interactive display for our Ancient World Fair

​

At the end of all this hard work we will look back at your project management skills and you will write a letter to your future seventh grade teachers. Then, it’s on to your Transitional Presentation of Learning.

What tools will we have?

To help you in your endeavors you will have the following tools.

  • Project calendar with due dates

  • Classroom project board to track the goals for the week

  • Google Calendar and Task Lists

  • Google Classroom to help you turn in your work

  • Assignment and Score Log to help keep you on track

  • Project benchmarks to move you toward final due dates

  • Themed assignments to support your understanding

  • Project tunings and critique to keep you on the right track

  • Support from your teachers and classmates

  • Time to work in class and at home
